Nicolas Cage is kicking ass and taking names on the beach in his next movie. It’s titled The Retirement Plan, and the bloody action-comedy just debuted its official trailer today.

The film hits theaters in the United States on August 25, 2023.

In The Retirement Plan, when Ashley (Ashley Greene) and her young daughter Sarah (Thalia Campbell) get caught up in a criminal enterprise that puts their lives at risk, she turns to the only person who can help – her estranged father Matt (Nicolas Cage), currently living the life of a retired beach bum in the Cayman Islands.

Their reunion is fleeting as they are soon tracked down on the island by crime boss Donnie (Jackie Earle Haley) and his lieutenant Bobo (Ron Perlman). As Ashley, Sarah and Matt become entangled in an increasingly dangerous web, Ashley quickly learns her father had a secret past that she knew nothing about and that there is more to her father than meets the eye.

The cast also includes Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) and Joel David Moore (Hatchet)!

Written and directed by Tim J. Brown, The Retirement Plan is presented by Joker Films, Darius Films, and Productivity Media. Check out the official trailer down below.

The film is rated “R” for “violence and pervasive language.”

Nicolas Cage is also headed to the beach in the upcoming action-thriller The Surfer. That film is a psychological thriller, wherein Cage battles a surfer gang on the beach. Yes. Please.

Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson and Joe Manganiello team up in upcoming Shout! Studios thriller The Kill Room, and the official trailer for the rated “R” movie has arrived.

The Kill Room will release in theaters on September 28, 2023.

IGN debuted the trailer this week. Check it out below.

The dark comedic thriller was directed by Nicol Paone and written by Jonathan Jacobson.

The Kill Room follows “an art dealer (Thurman) who teams with a hitman (Manganiello) and his boss (Jackson) for a money laundering scheme. The plan accidentally turns the hired killer into an overnight avant-garde sensation, forcing the dealer to play the art world against the underworld.”

Maya Hawke, Thurman’s real life daughter, also stars in the film.

“’The Kill Room’ is a sharp, darkly comic evisceration of the art collecting scene, delivered with wily relish by Uma Thurman and director Nicol Paone. We’re confident this will play very well with audiences who like their entertainment both witty and visceral,” Jordan Fields, senior VP of acquisitions and originals at Shout, said in a recent statement.

The cast also includes Debi Mazar, Dree Hemingway (“The Unicorn,” “Starlet”), Amy Keum (“Honor Society,” “Evil”) and Candy Buckley (“Rare Objects,” “Bachelorette”). Other actors in the movie include Larry Pine (“Succession,” “The Royal Tenenbaums”), Jennifer Kim (“Mozart in the Jungle,” “The Bourne Legacy”), Matthew Maher (“Air,” “Captain Marvel”), Tom Pecinka (“The Survivalist”) and Alexander Sokovikov (“For All Mankind,” “The Americans”).
